
A man has died following a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in La Verkin, as reported by multiple local news outlets. The incident occurred late Saturday evening, when the man was crossing State Route 9 and was struck by a southbound vehicle, according to KSL.com.
Despite the efforts of first responders, the man, who was transported to St. George Regional Hospital, ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The La Verkin Police Department expressed its sentiments, saying, "Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of everyone involved," as reported by KUTV. Responding to the auto-pedestrian accident around 11:15 p.m. near 100 South and SR-9, the officers from various departments provided immediate medical attention to the man, who is yet to be identified publicly.
The agencies involved in the response included the La Verkin Police, the Hurricane Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue. Immediate medical aid was provided at the scene of the accident, as reported by ABC4.
