On Monday, an attempted burglary occurred at Berryhill Market, located at 1885 Berryhill Road. According to the Memphis Police Department, a male suspect tried to pry open the market's front door using a yellow crowbar. The unsuccessful attempt took place around 4:00 a.m., after which the suspect vacated the premises on foot.
The Memphis Police provided a description of the suspect: a light-complexioned male sporting a black hoodie adorned with the partially-read "LAWS OF" in white lettering, and additional, though unspecified, red lettering, paired with black pants, and black-and-gray tennis shoes. Despite the early hour of the attempted break-in, the police hope that passing individuals or nearby surveillance cameras may have captured useful information.
Currently, the Memphis Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and apprehending the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to come forward. No additional injuries were reported. Tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274).
