Early this morning, a remarkable act of kindness unfolded on the streets of Miami-Dade when a woman helped two men in severe distress after they approached her car at a traffic light seeking aid; she didn't hesitate to drive them to Hialeah Hospital where one was found to be suffering from a stab wound, as reported by NBC Miami.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office confirmed that deputies responded to the scene near NW 18th Avenue and NW 84th Street around 5:47 a.m., where they encountered the woman and the two men, deputies learned from the woman, who told them, she was waiting at a red light when the men asked for her help – she then promptly took them to the hospital, despite one man bearing the wounds of a recent altercation that seemed to sear through the early morning calm, according to a Local 10 News report.
Subsequently, the injured man was transferred to Ryder Trauma Center, where he was described as in critical but stable condition; the man's companion revealed to investigators that the violence stemmed from a dispute at a party, where a known individual allegedly lashed out with a blade, precipitating the stabbing.
The investigation has been handed over to the General Investigations Unit of the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, which is actively piecing together the circumstances surrounding the altercation and subsequent stabbing. The detectives are delving into the party's unknown location and the details that sparked the conflict that ended in the emergency trip to Hialeah Hospital and the intense life-saving efforts that followed.
