Two teenagers were injured in separate shooting incidents in Miami over the weekend. According to Local 10 News, a 17-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder on Southwest Seventh Avenue and reached Northwest 11th Avenue, where police found her in stable condition. Miami police responded after a ShotSpotter alert around 5:40 p.m. yesterday.
In a second incident, a 16-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet at another location, according to Miami Police. Details about his condition or the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
NBC Miami reports that the woman from the first incident was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition. She was shot at the initial location and sought help at Northwest 11th Avenue and 28th Street.
Both incidents remain under investigation, and Miami Police have not released additional details or the identities of those involved.
