
Commuters experienced delays this morning on I-40 at mile marker 239, with traffic being squeezed into a single file using an acceleration lane. Lebanon Police Department reported a seven-vehicle crash on Sparta Pike which caused the major roadway shutdown; fortunately, only minor injuries were reported.

Despite the chaotic scene, crews responded quickly and worked efficiently to clear the damaged vehicles and reopen the road. Multiple tow trucks were brought in to remove the wreckage and reduce the morning disruption.
Updates are expected as cleanup efforts continue. Lebanon police are providing regular information and will issue further advisories as needed. For now, crews remain focused on safely restoring normal conditions as quickly as possible.
