The man killed in Saturday’s 1 p.m. crash on Clarksville Pike at Bobel Lane has been identified as Dustin McLeod, 41, of Smithville. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, James Brewington Jr., 60, was driving a 2004 Nissan Titan south on Clarksville Pike when he swerved into oncoming traffic after going around a vehicle turning onto Bobel Lane. His truck collided head-on with McLeod’s northbound 2016 Jeep Renegade.
McLeod was taken to Skyline Medical Center, where he later died. Brewington was seriously injured and remains hospitalized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as per the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
