On Wednesday, October 29, the North Fork Special Service District announced that there are three vacancies on its Administrative Control Board. Residents of the district who are interested in participating in local governance now have an opportunity to apply for these positions. In line with Utah Code Section 17B-1-304, those considering throwing their hat in the ring must be registered voters within the North Fork Special Service District, as noted in a public notice published by Utah County on October 31.
To formally express interest and be considered for the board vacancies, potential candidates need to submit a letter of interest. This letter should include a brief description of the individual's qualifications and confirm their eligibility. As part of the application process, hopefuls are required to quickly send their submissions via email to [email protected]. Importantly, all letters must be received by the Board of County Commissioners by the deadline they have set, which is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12.
Once the submission deadline passes, the County Commission will begin its review and evaluation of all qualified candidates. The Commission's selection process will follow the guidelines previously stated, as they aim to fill the boards with aptly suited individuals. The intent is to find residents who can bring not only their expertise but also their commitment to serving the local community within the North Fork Special Service District.
