The alert, which spans incidents from early to late October, places the spotlight on the Edgewater, Lakeview East, Rogers Park, and Magnolia Glen neighborhoods, encompassing the 19th, 20th, and 24th Police Districts, the unknown suspect has exhibited a pattern of behavior, entering stores and leaping over counters to grab bottles of drugs before making a swift escape, prompting local law enforcement to share details of the thefts in hopes that community members can aid in preventing further incidents or identifying the perpetrator.
Specific incidents included dates and locations ranging from the 1200 block of W. Devon to the 3000 block of N.
