
Early Friday morning, a shooting occurred on Chicago's West Side, resulting in one death and injuries to two others. According to ABC7 Chicago, the incident took place in the 4500 block of West Fifth Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood around 3:44 a.m., with police stating that the victims were outside at the time they were shot; additional details regarding the cause of the shooting have not been disclosed.
The casualties include a 31-year-old man who suffered a gunshot to the chest and subsequently self-transported to Rush Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, as reported by WGN-TV. The tragedy also struck a 26-year-old woman and another man, aged 31, both of whom were shot in the legs and managed to get themselves to Rush Hospital, where they have been reported to be in stable condition.
