A grim discovery was made in a Del Mar Heights home yesterday when San Diego Police came across the scene of a tragic death involving an elderly couple. Authorities arrived at the 12000 block of Caminito Del Pasaje at 7:07 AM, following a distress call about an unresponsive male. Inside the residence, officers found both an adult male and female with fatal gunshot wounds, the San Diego Police Department reported.
At the scene, a firearm was discovered, SDPD disclosed. The incident is currently being treated as a potential murder-suicide, but details remain sparse as homicide detectives delve deeper into their investigation. The casualties of this apparent domestic tragedy have been identified as Johann and Kaethe Oesterreicher. They were both 83 years old.
