The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in San Francisco is requesting the public's assistance in identifying a deceased individual whose body was discovered last week. The man, who is described as white, approximately 30 years of age with red hair, blue eyes, and notable freckles on his face, was found unresponsive in front of 131 10th Street, located between Howard Street and Mission Street.
Typically, identifications are swiftly resolved by the OCME through means such as personal identification, fingerprinting, interviews, or DNA analysis. They informed that most cases are wrapped up within a day. This time, however, those methods have failed to provide them with a name for this person. Found wearing no identification, a fingerprint check, and witness interviews came up empty. DNA testing has not yet yielded results.
In an effort to close this rare gap in identification, the OCME has released a sketch of the man, crafted by a San Francisco Police Department artist, in the hope that someone may recognize him. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene after emergency services responded to the location. However, the cause and manner of his death are still under investigation, according to the OCME's statement.
