On Sunday, a call for what seemed to be a typical burglary in San Francisco's Ingleside neighborhood escalated quickly into a homicide case. The San Francisco Police Department officers, dispatched to a residence on the 200 block of Granada Avenue, were confronted with a far grimmer scene than they had anticipated.
A report from Hoodline detailed that upon the officers' arrival at approximately 3 PM, they discovered an adult victim with unspecified injuries. Despite attempts to quickly render aid, including performing CPR, the victim ultimately was pronounced dead on the spot.
Further into the investigation, a crucial lead led officers to the area of 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, where Cassidy Wyatt Allen, a 45-year-old San Francisco resident, was detained. He seemingly matched the suspect description connected to the homicide. Following probable cause, Allen was arrested and later booked into San Francisco County Jail on charges of murder and burglary, according to the San Francisco Police Department's website.
