The Sandy Police Department invites members of the community to a laid-back meet and greet at a local Target. According to a social media post by the Sandy City Police Department, the event is set for Tuesday, November 25, from 3 PM to 5 PM at 10130 S State Street in Sandy.
The gathering, dubbed an afternoon of "coffee, conversation, and K9s," presents an opportunity for residents to connect with the officers who patrol their neighborhoods. "Come grab a cup of coffee and meet the officers (and their furry partners!) who serve our community," the Sandy City Police Department announced. The event is being billed as an occasion to foster community spirit, with the department saying, "Let’s make connections and celebrate community spirit—one cup at a time!"
This isn't the first time such an event has been organized by the Sandy Police Department, which regularly seeks to build bridges with locals through informal gatherings. Events like these allow for direct conversation and provide a casual setting for discussing community concerns or simply getting to know the men, women, and service dogs dedicated to protecting the area. It's also a chance for law enforcement to show a more personal side, something that's often welcomed by those they serve, according to the Sandy City Police Department.
