Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner shared his respect, “This day is dedicated entirely to our servicemen and women, the guardians of the very freedoms we cherish. Their service built the bedrock principles that make the United States of America the greatest beacon of liberty in the world." On the Miami-Dade side, a parade with over 1,400 participants honored fallen heroes with both graveside ceremonies and an exuberant procession through the historic Coconut Grove community, according to Local 10.
