Over the weekend, an unsettling incident in Homestead resulted in two individuals being hospitalized due to stab wounds. Homestead Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of South East 24th Court, where they found the injured parties. Officers arrived after receiving reports of a stabbing and found two victims at the scene. One victim was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital South in serious condition, while the other was transported via ambulance and is also receiving treatment at the same hospital, NBC6 Miami reports.
As the investigation unfolded, details have emerged about the individuals involved. Ivette Padilla, one of the individuals involved and currently hospitalized, is accused of armed burglary and attempted murder. She's set to be taken into custody upon recovery. The other victim of the stabbing, whose identity has not been disclosed, is reported to be in stable condition, as per information from WSVN.
