Last night, tragedy struck at the intersection of Rosecrans Street and Womble Road in San Diego's Midway District when a car crashed into a concrete wall. Details provided by the San Diego Police Department reveal that at about 10:09 PM, a 39-year-old woman driving a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 SUV failed to navigate the T-intersection, proceeding straight instead of turning, and subsequently collided with a barrier. The incident led to severe injuries for the driver and her 36-year-old female passenger, according to a press release from the San Diego Police Department.
The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, required surgery due to internal injuries sustained in the collision. Her passenger is dealing with a fractured pelvis and a compound fracture to her right ankle, an event that has surely derailed the lives of these two individuals.
