Two individuals are facing felony vehicular hijacking charges after their arrest by the Robbery Task Force, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department. The alleged incident involved 24-year-old Macharion Autry Moore from Park Forest and 25-year-old Davion Riggins of Chicago Heights who, police say, forcibly took a vehicle from a 32-year-old male on the South Side.
The vehicle hijacking occurred approximately one hour before the arrest of Moore and Riggins on November 5, 2025. The suspects were apprehended at 5:55 p.m. along I-57 in Matteson, after the task force tracked them down a short time after the reported crime took place in the 4800 block of S. Cornell. This area falls within the jurisdiction of the 2nd District. Their detention hearing is scheduled to be at 2600 S. California Ave on today's date.
Details provided by the police state that the victim was accosted and his vehicle taken by force, Moore and Riggins were later identified as the assailants leading to their subsequent capture and the charges that followed.
