Chicago police are currently seeking information about an incident that involved the aggravated discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle. According to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department, the event occurred early in the morning on December 19, 2025, at around 2:10 am, in the 5400 block of West Diversey Avenue.
The report mentioned that the suspect, a male Hispanic estimated to be between 18 and 28 years of age with a medium build and a low haircut, was a front-seat passenger in a stolen vehicle. It was from this vehicle that the suspect is believed to have fired a handgun capable of discharging .45 caliber rounds at another vehicle. Witnesses observed the stolen vehicle fleeing northbound in the 2800 block of North Long Avenue. Officials are now looking to quickly apprehend the individual responsible and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
