According to the City of Cooper City, we're looking at two main phases of road closures, so plan ahead.
The first phase began yesterday and runs through tomorrow, reducing southbound traffic on SW 106 Avenue to a single lane between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as crews install a 6-inch-by-2-inch tapping sleeve and valve on the city’s pressurized sewage pipe, followed by asphalt restoration. A full road closure is expected on December 15 when phase two begins.
The work is part of ongoing development and infrastructure safety efforts. Cooper City is connecting utilities for the Hanson Preserve project and aims to ensure the surrounding system remains reliable. While the closures may be inconvenient, officials say they are limiting the disruptions to specific hours to minimize impacts on drivers.
