
Three officers from the DC Police Department are being lauded as heroes after their swift response to a house fire in Southeast Washington. On December 19, Officers Koksaldi, Carela, and Morgan sprang into action upon receiving a report of a blaze on the 3300 block of E St. SE, as reported by the DC Fire and EMS Department.

These officers, making a decision of life-saving import, were crucial to the rescue, according to the same source. Arriving before the firefighters, they managed to remove the occupant from the immediate danger, their actions undeniably saving a life.
