An 18-year-old from Dickson, Hunter W. Jackson, has been charged with the murder of his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend. The shooting happened on Tuesday night around 8 p.m. in a Kroger parking lot, where the victim met Jackson before getting into his car, according to FOX 17.
After ending their relationship, the unidentified minor victim was shot while trying to leave Jackson’s vehicle at a traffic light near Highway 70 East and Henslee Drive and later died at Skyline Medical Center. Jackson allegedly fled but was apprehended in White Bluff, with the gun believed to have been used recovered, and he is being held at the Dickson County Jail on a $3 million bond, as reported by WKRN
Jackson is scheduled to appear in Dickson County General Sessions Court on January 20, 2026, facing a first-degree murder charge, with additional charges possible as the investigation continues, as per WSMV. The victim’s name has not been released due to her age, marking a tragic event for the Dickson community.
