Dr. Brian Lusk expressed his commitment to the El Paso Independent School District in a message announcing his new role as Superintendent. Reflecting on beginning his career with a clear understanding of the importance of educating children, Lusk shared insights into his long journey in education and his eagerness to take on this new leadership position. In his message, he stated, "Educating our children is about more than lesson plans and curriculums – it is a chance to bring hope, to strengthen the future of communities, and ensure that the promise of opportunity and liberty that public education brings is delivered for every child," as per El Paso ISD.
Lusk conveyed his plans to actively engage with the various members of the school district in the coming months. Through his interactions with students, teachers, parents and families, staff, and community members, he aims to fully understand and address their needs while also establishing a collaborative approach to decision-making. "Over the coming months, I am excited to spend time across our district, get to know our students, our teachers, our parents and families, our staff, and the community members, so we can collaborate and have a clear path forward," he mentioned in the message published by El Paso ISD.
