A fatal hit-and-run occurred yesterday in Portland’s Sumner neighborhood, resulting in the death of a male pedestrian. Portland Police responded around 3:04 p.m. to the 8700 block of Northeast Prescott Street and found the individual deceased. The vehicle involved fled the scene, and no suspect information has been released, according to the City of Portland.
The Portland Police Traffic Division's Major Crash Team is leading the investigation into the fatal hit-and-run. Northeast Prescott Street was closed between Northeast 86th Avenue and Northeast 88th Avenue while investigators examined the scene.
