Residents and businesses in Rockdale County can safely dispose of sensitive documents and outdated electronics for free on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful (KCRB) will host the County-Wide Shredding & E-Recycling Event at Wheeler Park, 1400 Parker Rd., Conyers, GA 30094.
The free event, open to Rockdale residents and businesses with proof of residency, will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., weather permitting. Attendees may bring up to four banker boxes or one 30-gallon clear tote of paperwork for shredding; plastic bags will not be accepted, KCRB announced.
The first-come, first-served event will securely shred sensitive materials such as medical records, bank statements, and other personal documents on-site. For e-recycling, residents can drop off electronics, including computers, laptops, tablets, and small household devices. Photographs, binders, hanging folders, CRT/box TVs, hazardous materials, and large appliances will not be accepted.
KCRB is also seeking volunteers aged 18 and up to help with tasks such as managing traffic and unloading materials. Those interested can contact KCRB for details or to sign up. In a statement, KCRB urges the community to assist, spread the word, and help “keep Rockdale cleaner, greener, and safer.”
