The Gilroy Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary incident at La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant. The establishment, located on the 1100 Block of First Street, was broken into on November 22, with the police notified of the crime around 4:00 AM through an alarm activation, according to the Gilroy Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the restaurant's rear door had been forcefully pried open, but found that the perpetrators had absconded before they could be apprehended, a classic case of a break-and-flee that left the police to rely on surveillance footage for any clues. The footage showed two suspects as they forcibly entered the premises and proceeded to steal multiple bottles of alcohol and a cash register housing an undisclosed sum of money.
