If you live in Janesville and still have your Christmas tree, the city offers post-holiday pickup during your regular trash collection the week of January 12. Make sure to place your tree at the curb on time, and avoid icy trees, as they won’t be collected, according to the City of Janesville.
You can also drop off your tree for free at the Sanitary Landfill during regular hours. Landfill staff will direct you to a separate tree drop-off area, available through spring when the Compost & Clean-Fill Facility reopens, as reported by the City of Janesville.
