The City of Memphis has released its holiday trash collection schedule, outlining when residents should place their bins at the curb before Christmas. With city offices closed on December 25 and 26, the Solid Waste Management Division will adjust the regular trash pickup schedule, and no collection services will occur on those dates, according to an official announcement.
The schedule adjustments will take effect in the week leading up to Christmas. Residents with pickups on December 22 should have their garbage ready by that date. Those with pickups on December 23 should place their bins out by then. Pickups on December 24 will remain on the usual schedule. All bins should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. for collection. For homes served by Team Waste, the schedule adjustments are as follows: Thursday pickups will be collected on Friday, and Friday pickups will be collected on Saturday.
The City of Memphis has announced that excess trash and yard waste services will be limited during the holiday week. Residents are reminded to place all carts at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection day to ensure timely pickup. City officials also extend holiday greetings to residents and wish them a safe and orderly holiday season.
