As we look ahead to Saturday, the forecast indicates a mostly sunny day, yet slightly cooler with highs near 49 and light east northeast winds, as reported by the National Weather Service.
Saturday’s relatively mild conditions are a prelude to a sharp drop Saturday night, with lows plummeting to around 20 degrees. This will bring wind chill values as low as single digits. Gusty north winds could reach speeds up to 30 mph. The chill continues into Sunday, boasting sunny skies but with high temperatures struggling to reach near 28, accompanied by more blustery northern gusts.
By Sunday night, conditions are expected to mellow slightly with the lows hovering around 16 degrees, while the north northeast wind will calm by midnight. The new week starts with sunshine on Monday and highs rebounding to a more tolerable 37 degrees. Light winds shifting south southwest are set to provide a semblance of warmth in the afternoon, making for a mostly clear evening and an overnight low around 28 degrees.
The rest of the week looks to bring a gradual warm-up, with Tuesday seeing mostly sunny skies and high temperatures nearing 48. The warming trend continues through midweek, with highs approaching 58 by Wednesday. Overnight into Thursday, however, there's a shift in the weather pattern. A 20 percent chance of showers marks the start of more unsettled conditions. This likelihood of rain increases to 50 percent by Thursday amidst cloudier skies and higher temperatures, peaking at near 64 degrees.
