Two Killed and Teen Injured After Gunfire Erupts at Miami Gardens House Party

Early this morning, a gathering in Miami Gardens was disrupted by gunfire, resulting in two fatalities and an injured teenager. According to Local 10, Miami Gardens police were called to a home on the 1900 block of Northwest 175th Street where they found three individuals with gunshot wounds around 12:45 a.m. A party held at an Airbnb rental was the setting for the shooting. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded, transporting one victim on the ground and airlifting the others to a local hospital, where two of the victims later died.

The deceased were confirmed to be a teenager and an adult, the police told Local 10’s Hannah Yechivi. As the police search for three masked men in connection with the incident, considered isolated by officials, they assure the community is not under continued threat. In an investigation that remains active, the shooters' identities and the motive behind the violence remain undiscovered.

During the incident, about 30 people were gathered at the residence, reported NBC Miami. Three men in ski masks reportedly entered the home without engaging in any altercation and opened fire. "There was not a fight that was taking place. They were not attending the party," Miami Gardens Police Department spokesperson Diana Delgado said. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

A long-time resident of the neighborhood, declining to be named, reflected on the area's usual tranquility. "It was a kids' party, 'cause I know it was kids, and the party started around 9 ish," she told NBC Miami.
