
A stray dog found near 27th St. and Oklahoma Ave. in Milwaukee over the holiday season was taken into the care of local authorities. The Oak Creek Police Department shared details on a social media post in an effort to locate the owner. According to the post, the friendly, unchipped dog was discovered the evening before Christmas and would be transferred to the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) if not claimed by the following morning.
The Oak Creek Police Department shared on a Facebook post, “Santa delivered a pooch to the Oak Creek Police Department however, we would like to find the proper owner. This little fellow was located earlier this evening near 27th St and Oklahoma Ave in Milwaukee by one of our residents. He does not have a chip but is very friendly.”
According to the update, the dog was transferred to MADACC, an organization that manages lost pets and facilitates adoptions in the Milwaukee area. No further information has been released regarding the dog’s status or whether it has been reunited with its owner.
