Montgomery County is getting ready to deck its halls and power down some of its offices for the holiday season. As families and friends gear up for their own celebrations, it's important to note that several government services will be taking a brief pause. Montgomery County Government offices are set to close doors on December 24 and 25 in observance of Christmas and will further remain closed on December 26 for scheduled facility maintenance. And as the New Year rolls in, offices will also be closed on January 1, 2026, celebrating the advent of a fresh calendar year.
But let’s not forget, while many of us are enjoying the comfort and warmth of the season, health and public safety teams will continue their labor, unyielding and vigilant. "Please remember the health and public safety teams who continue to work tirelessly to keep our community safe throughout the holiday season," according to a release from Montgomery County.
Montgomery County hasn't left its residents entirely without resources, though. For those who need to get things done, a variety of online services remain accessible via the county's website. A visit to the GOV tab at montgomerytn.gov opens up a world of digital assistance.
