
Last night, Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department crews responded to a blaze on E. Lytle Street at approximately 10:45 p.m., attacking the flames that erupted in a house currently unoccupied and undergoing renovation; the incident was devoid of any casualties.
The operation saw a deployment of several units which included L1, L4, L8, E3, R1, R4, S1, S2, BC1, BC2, Car 131, Car 134, and Car 136, these units were quickly on the scene collaborating to stifle the spread of fire and prevent further damages to the surrounding structures and environment, no firefighters or civilians were reported injured during the course of extinguishing the flames. The root cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office, as reported on the department's Facebook page.
Officials said damage to the property on E. Lytle Street is still being assessed. Murfreesboro Fire Rescue confirmed the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. Fire crews contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby properties. The Murfreesboro Fire Marshal’s Office said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
