The Ogden Police Department has announced that in observance of the Christmas holiday, several offices within the Francom Public Safety Building will be closed on Thursday, December 25. The closure is set to include the Records Bureau, Evidence, Animal Control, and the Sex Offender Registry windows, according to a social media post from the Ogden Police Department.
In addition to the Christmas Day closure, the public safety building will also close early on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, at 12 p.m. According to the Ogden Police Department, regular business hours will resume on Friday, December 26, at 8 a.m. These seasonal operational changes come during a time when many government offices reduce hours or close in recognition of the holiday season.
Ogden residents in need of assistance during the time the offices are closed can still reach out to the Ogden Police Department for non-emergencies at 801-395-8221. As always, in cases of emergency, the department reminds citizens to dial 911. In their announcement, the Ogden Police Department expressed gratitude for the public's understanding and sent wishes for a safe and happy holiday to the community.
