Park City Transit is hitting a milestone this year, celebrating half a century of moving people around the scenic roads of Park City. The golden anniversary event is set to roll out a slice of history with a special commemorative trolley ride that promises to transport attendees not just along Main Street, but through the transit organization's storied past, according to Park City.
The festivities are planned for the morning of Wednesday, December 10, and include a short and sweet ride from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., with the trolley departing on time from the Old Town Transit Center. While attending the historic ride, participants can expect to hear remarks and join a toast in honor of the transit line's 50 years of service. After enjoying the clatter and hum of the trolley's journey, a casual reception will offer light snacks and refreshments for all guests.
Representing the heart of local governance, Park City Mayor Nann Worel, along with City Councilmembers and Transit leadership, will be present to commemorate this milestone. They stand as a testament to the integral role Park City Transit has played in weaving the fabric of this mountain community together, as detailed by Park City.
