The Plymouth Police Department, in a routine update aimed at maintaining transparency and community engagement, released a digest of their weekly police activity. In a social media post, they reported responding to 855 incidents in the span of a week, from December 21 to December 27, 2025.
The summary provided by the department gives a startling glance at the fabric of community life that often goes unseen – within it there were 12 arrests made alongside 16 criminal complaints, which indicates not just the presence of crime but the local law enforcement's response to it; it's a quantitative reflection of challenges faced and actions taken by officers sworn to serve. They also handled 32 motor vehicle accidents, a reminder of the everyday hazards present on our roadways, and conducted 108 traffic stops, a figure representing their role in maintaining traffic safety for all.
Additionally, the update revealed that officers responded to 34 house and building alarms and investigated 9 disturbances. Beyond criminal matters, the department also focused on the welfare of residents, conducting 51 medical, mental health, and wellbeing checks throughout the week.
During this busy week, Plymouth police responded to 22 reports of suspicious activity, showing their ongoing vigilance in the neighborhoods. There were also 29 accidental 911 calls, which, though minor, tie up emergency resources that could be used for real emergencies.
The Plymouth Police Department ended their update by thanking the officers for their dedication and the community for its support. “Stay safe,” they wrote, a brief but meaningful reminder of the shared goal for a peaceful community.
