A quiet stretch of West 85th Street in Auburn Gresham turned into a crime scene Tuesday afternoon when officers found a 20-year-old man fatally shot inside a home on Chicago’s South Side.
Chicago police said officers were called to the residence in the 900 block of West 85th Street around 2:37 p.m. The man was discovered inside and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

As of Tuesday evening, no one was in custody. Detectives have opened an investigation and were working the block, gathering details about what led up to the shooting, per the Chicago Sun-Times.
