A tense incident in San Jose was effectively de-escalated thanks to a prompt response by the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) and its cutting-edge tech tools. The San Jose Police Department recently detailed on their Facebook page an incident involving a machete-wielding individual at a local San Jose business.
The conflict unfolded yesterday, when the police were alerted to a weapons disturbance. The San Jose PD's Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), upon receiving notification, engaged by aiming a public safety camera at the scene. This facilitated a continuous feed of updates to the officers heading towards the crisis.
"RTIC was able to provide real-time updates to responding Officers, who were able to swiftly apprehend and arrest the machete-wielding suspect," the San Jose Police Department stated on social media.
