The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency is inviting the public to join in the holiday spirit by helping to name their new festive vehicle wraps. The Merry Days of Muni celebration is now featuring seasonally decorated buses and trains, and San Franciscans have until December 12 to submit their most creative and cheerful suggestions for naming three of these vehicles. Names that make the cut will be shared on social media, the Merry tracker, and the SFMTA blog.

In an effort to spread cheer throughout the city, a "Merry Days tracker" has been introduced to help riders locate and experience the holiday-themed public transit. The festive wraps can be found on five Muni routes: the 49 Van Ness/Mission, 38 Geary, 22 Fillmore, 9/9R San Bruno, and N Judah, as noted in the SFMTA's blog post. In an Instagram post by SFMTA, followers were encouraged to "Send us your most festive, fun, holiday or SF-inspired, family friendly names. Think creative, clever, and full of cheer."

To bolster the festivities, SFMTA is offering a range of holiday-themed activities for Muni riders to engage with one another and with local businesses. This includes a special Merry Days of Muni Holiday Collection, holiday-themed podcasts, events, and a push to explore small businesses along the festive routes. Interested individuals can check out the SFMTA's "Go Local" webpage for small business ideas and join the various Merry Days events listed on their webpage.
