Residents planning to travel on northbound Interstate 55 at Gravois this weekend should prepare for lane closures and consider alternate routes or additional travel time. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced maintenance work that will temporarily impact traffic in the area.
Beginning at 5 a.m. on Saturday, crews will close all northbound lanes at Gravois to perform tree removal and drain maintenance. The ramp to westbound Interstate 44 will remain open during the work. The lane closures are scheduled to end by 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Drivers affected by the closure are advised to take the detour by exiting at Gravois (Exit 207A) and continuing along 12th Street to reconnect with northbound I-55. This route provides access around the work zone and helps maintain traffic flow during the maintenance period.
