Indeed, with Christmas Day and New Year's Day both falling on a Thursday this year, those who generally roll their bins out on Thursday will have to wait until Friday for their waste to be whisked away. Friday's normal routine will likewise shift to Saturday for the duration of these holiday weeks. For those already looking ahead, services are slated to return to the usual schedule promptly the following week.
Moreover, city dwellers should be aware that all city offices and facilities are set to close their doors in celebration and recognition of December 24, 25, and January 1. This includes the Passport Office, which will close from December 24 through 27, shortly reopen on December 31, and then close once more on January 1 before resuming operation on January 2.
