Early this morning, a hit-and-run crash in Northwest Miami-Dade left a woman hospitalized when her vehicle was struck by another car, according to authorities. The incident, reported at approximately 6:15 a.m. near Northwest 119th Street and 22nd Avenue, was confirmed by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. An SUV, after the collision, rolled over and landed on its side, according to Local 10.
The crash resulted in the SUV hitting a pole, which was captured by aerial images showing the aftermath, including the vehicle lying on its left side on the grass outside Alhambra Cove Apartments. The woman driving the SUV was then quickly transported to a local hospital in stable condition by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. As per information provided by the sheriff's office, the driver who caused the accident decided to quickly flee the scene without stopping to call 911 or provide assistance to the injured woman.
