The pattern involves perpetrators breaking the driver's side windows to remove the airbags from the steering wheel. Owners noticed the damage upon returning to their vehicles. The advisory notes that these crimes typically occur overnight. Specific locations and dates of the incidents span from December 21, 2025, to January 22, 2026, including the 800 block of West 16th St. and the 4700 block of North Marine Dr., among others, outlined in the alert notice.
The suspects in these crimes are described as one to two males donning jumpsuits, possibly driving a red Ford F-150 and a black GMC pick-up with dealer plates reported as stolen.
