Today, Officer Travis O’Daniel was formally recognized as the February OG&E Safety Partner Award recipient. The Oklahoma City Thunder and OG&E visited the Choctaw Police Department to honor him for his continued dedication to serving the community both on and off duty.
Much of this recognition comes from the time Officer O’Daniel volunteers at the Choctaw Senior Citizens Center, where he educates residents about safety, answers questions, and serves as a trusted, friendly presence. His commitment reflects the heart of the Safety Partner program, which highlights officers who go above and beyond to protect and connect with those they serve, as reported by the Choctaw Police Department's Facebook post.
As part of the recognition, OG&E and the Thunder presented a donation to the Choctaw Police Department. Officer O’Daniel will also be publicly acknowledged at the Thunder vs. Pacers game on Friday, Jan. 23, and we are proud of his dedication to our department and community.
