The Clarksville Police Department has reached out to the community, seeking assistance in identifying a suspect linked to an attempted burglary in December. According to a post from the department's official social media, the incident occurred at the EZ Market on 1801 E. Boy Scout Road, a local business rattled by a break-in attempt in the early morning hours.
It was on December 1, 2025, when, at around 3:20 a.m., officers were summoned to an alarm sounding at the location. The store's surveillance system recorded footage of a Black male, dressed in a black hoodie and red pants flanked by dark shoes, toting a black backpack—his demeanor shadowed by the telltale urgency of the act, as he wrestled with the door handle and leveraged a piece of wood in a failed attempt to pry his way into the store. Before long, the alarm blared, and the suspect was last seen sprinting north along Needmore Road, evading capture.
The Clarksville Police Department has released images of the suspect, who is believed to have been casing other nearby establishments before the attempted break-in at EZ Market. In their call to the public, they have asked for anyone with information or additional video footage that could lead to the suspect's identification to step forward.
Detective J. Baker is the officer handling enquiries, and individuals with potential leads can reach him directly at (931) 648-0656, ext. 5163. Authorities stress that the anonymity of tipsters will be preserved, and information leading to an arrest could even result in a cash reward, a testament to the gravity with which they seek this individual's apprehension.
