Coral Springs residents are invited to enjoy an evening of Queen’s greatest hits under the stars on February 7. The City of Coral Springs is hosting a community concert at the City Hall Grand Lawn, promising live music, local talent, and a celebration of community spirit.
The annual State of the City address kicks off at 5 p.m., just before sunset, with city officials sharing updates and recent achievements. Whether residents are interested in local policy or simply looking to enjoy an evening of entertainment, the event promises something for everyone. After the address, Absolute Queen will perform, celebrating the music of the legendary British rock band, according to an announcement on Coral Springs' official site.
Absolute Queen is far from an ordinary cover band. Known for their high-energy performances and stage presence reminiscent of legendary frontman Freddie Mercury, they bring every Queen classic to life with precision and flair. From vocals to iconic costumes, the band aims to recreate the feel of a 1980s Queen concert. The evening will open with a performance by the School of Rock, showcasing the talent of Coral Springs’ emerging young musicians.
"This is one of my favorite nights of the year," said Mayor Scott Brook, speaking to the community's anticipation of the event. “There is nothing better than being in the middle of our downtown, surrounded by neighbors, friends, and families, listening to great music under the stars. The energy, the entertainment, the togetherness—it’s everything that makes Coral Springs special. I can’t wait to celebrate our city and rock the lawn with our community,” as noted by the city's release.
