Daniel James Ducanis appeared at an arraignment on a digital voyeurism charge, following allegations that he filmed under a girl’s dress at a church in Pembroke Pines. Witnesses reportedly reported the incident to authorities. According to Local 10, the events took place at the Boulevard Bible Chapel, and Ducanis, a Davie resident, was apprehended more than a month after the allegations were first made.
The incident occurred on November 23. The Pembroke Pines Police Department reported that both an adult and a juvenile witnessed the act. The juvenile told police that she noticed Ducanis had his phone under the girl’s skirt. The witnesses then informed the victim’s brother, who confronted Ducanis.
Ducanis’ phone became a key piece of evidence and was confiscated by police after a search warrant was obtained on December 5. An initial inspection of the phone did not reveal any illicit material. On the same day, Ducanis emailed a detective to amend his statement, admitting to filming the incident but stating that the videos had been deleted and were never shared, according to the arrest report obtained by Local 10.
Ducanis is currently released on bond and remains subject to legal proceedings. A Facebook post from Broward FL Mugshots shared Ducanis’ mugshot along with details of his arrest, including a $0.00 bail, confirming his detention.
