Residents of Decatur County have adopted two of the four dogs that the Decatur County Sheriff's Office had sought help finding homes for. The black-and-white dog and an all-black dog have both received adoption requests, according to a social media update from the sheriff’s office. The post notes that the adoptions will proceed once the required vetting process is completed.
While two of the dogs have been adopted, two remain without homes. The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that a proper vetting process must be completed before any adoption is finalized. “Anyone that does not pass the vetting procedure will not be able to adopt these animals,” the Facebook post stated.
