
A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Deerfield Beach and was taken into custody shortly after the incident. According to Local 10 News, Iran Dos Santos is accused of failing to remain at the scene of an accident involving serious injury, leaving the scene of property damage, and driving with a suspended license in connection with a crash that resulted in serious injury or death.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon. The Broward Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies, along with fire rescue teams, responded to the 3800 block of Northwest Third Avenue around 5 p.m. Dos Santos was arrested following the accident and appeared in bond court the next day.
Local 10 reported that during his court appearance today, Iran Dos Santos was ordered held on a bond of $10,500. He faces multiple charges, including failure to stop and remain at the scene of an accident involving serious injury, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, and driving with a suspended license in connection with a crash resulting in death or serious injury.
