The City of Doral has launched the Golden Hearts Senior Support Grant Program to help senior residents facing financial challenges. Amid cuts to many aid programs, the City of Doral has dedicated $50,000 for the 2025–2026 fiscal year to the Golden Hearts Senior Support Grant Program. The funding will provide $200 grants to an estimated 250 senior households, aiming to ease financial pressures on elderly residents managing essential expenses. Mayor Christi Fraga said the program was created to support seniors in the community and address gaps left by reduced county assistance, noting that while the grants may not solve all challenges, they are intended to provide some relief.
