Yesterday morning, Parker Branch Road became the scene of an accident as a truck slid off the icy road and into a creek, causing a hazardous leak of oil and fuel. Williamson County Fire/Rescue, in a social media post, reported that the driver sustained only minor injuries in the incident, which could have had much graver consequences given the conditions and the nature of the spill.
The emergency response, composed of multiple teams including the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency, worked swiftly and in close coordination to contain and mitigate the spill, ensuring the affected area was stabilized and environmental impacts were minimized.
"A huge thank you to the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency for their assistance," lauded the Williamson County Fire/Rescue post, commending the group effort that ensured public and environmental safety. "Great teamwork by everyone involved!"
